Hello everyone! This is the first of what I hope will be many posts. I’ve blogged before, but this time around, things are a little different. Lately, I’ve been diving deep into heart-healthy, low-sodium diets—focusing on managing cholesterol, fat, and cutting out added salt. It’s a brand-new journey for me, and I’m excited to share it with you!
A Quick Note on My AI Assistant
You might notice some great-looking photos here. I actually use Google Gemini to generate my food images! I know people have mixed feelings about AI, but as a photographer, I find it incredibly helpful. It’s quick, easy, and accurate—cucumbers look like cucumbers, and chicken breasts look like chicken breasts. I always make sure everything looks perfect before I hit publish.
I also use voice-to-text to get my thoughts down in Google Docs, and then I have Gemini proofread my drafts. It helps me clean up spelling and grammar, but I want to be clear: AI isn’t writing this for me. It’s my assistant. I read every word, make my own manual changes, and give the final approval. Secondly, I will always do my best to list sources.
RESEARCH- I also look up general recipes and ideas with Google Gemini. If I use someone else’s recipes, I will always credit the source. If I combine, update or change any of the recipe data, I’ll credit myself, or no credit at all.
What’s Cooking?
Since I’m working on losing some weight, I’ve been focusing a lot on salads. The first two recipes I’m perfecting are a refreshing cucumber salad and a low-sodium Vietnamese Bún salad. My goal is to keep things simple: a quick introduction, followed by the recipe, and a few footnotes. I’m also hoping to include some infographics along the way.
